Being a Chemical Engineer compiles and analyzes testing data. Presents research results used to estimate costs, establish performance standards, identify solutions, and facilitate processes. Additionally, Chemical Engineer maintains lab and plant safety procedures for chemical storage, handling, transport, and disposal. Complies with all safety and environmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Chemical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     Responsibilities:
    • Develop, design, and implement new chemical processes.
    • Evaluate existing processes and workflows to identify areas that could benefit from changes and improvements.
    • Apply principles of chemical engineering to solve complex technical problems.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective execution of projects.
    • Make use of Autodesk software to design and analyze process systems.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
    • Monitor and optimize process parameters to improve efficiency and productivity.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to the production team.
    • Prepare technical reports, analysis summaries, and project proposals.

    Qualifications:
    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field of Chemical Engineering.
    • A Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field is required.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role is required.
    • Proficiency in using Autodesk or similar software for process design and analysis.
    • Strong understanding of chemical process engineering principles and practices.
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
    • Proven experience in developing and implementing process improvements.
    • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
    • Strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and standards.
    • Must be a proactive self-starter with a desire to continually learn and improve.
