Designs experiments and builds prototypes and models used to investigate and support the development of improved chemicals, materials, products, and manufacturing processes. Being a Chemical Engineer compiles and analyzes testing data. Presents research results used to estimate costs, establish performance standards, identify solutions, and facilitate processes. Additionally, Chemical Engineer maintains lab and plant safety procedures for chemical storage, handling, transport, and disposal. Complies with all safety and environmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Chemical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, chemicals and products within establishments by performing the following duties.
Pay
Starting wage is $17.50 per hour with a $1.25 per hour increase after successful completion of training and 6 months of employment.
Employee Bonus Program - eligible to earn $2,000 annual bonus divided, determined and paid quarterly after first full quarter employed.
