Chemical Engineer conducts research and development projects involving the study of chemical reactions and material properties to innovate and develop new products or optimize existing products. Designs experiments and builds prototypes and models used to investigate and support the development of improved chemicals, materials, products, and manufacturing processes. Being a Chemical Engineer compiles and analyzes testing data. Presents research results used to estimate costs, establish performance standards, identify solutions, and facilitate processes. Additionally, Chemical Engineer maintains lab and plant safety procedures for chemical storage, handling, transport, and disposal. Complies with all safety and environmental regulations. Requires a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering. Typically reports to a manager. The Chemical Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our Water-Wastewater Engineer, EIT opportunity. The position can based in Orlando, Estero, or Miami FL. 

    Your Role: 

    ·      Plan and design water/wastewater treatment, distribution/conveyance, pumping, and storage facilities 

    ·      Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses 

    ·      Prepare detailed engineering reports and supporting documents, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates 

    ·      Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects 

    ·      Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues and interface with other engineering disciplines 

    ·      Collaborate with technical design teams for compliance with scope, schedule and budget requirements, including coordination with the project manager, other design disciplines, and the client 

    ·      Review submittals from contractors for conformance with engineering specifications and drawings and respond to requests for additional information 

    ·      Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner 

     

    Qualifications: 

    ·      Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required 

    ·      Engineer in Training (EIT) certification, required 

    ·      Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record 

    ·      Familiarity with AutoCAD/Civil 3D a plus 

    ·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, to include Microsoft Word, Excel, word processing and scheduling programs
