Job Description

Operating in Safety a production line for Hygiene or Tissue products, manufacturing products according to fixed specifications and standard operating procedures. As member of the shift team is responsible for the performance of the machine.The operator Intermediate has the skills to undertake the tasks needed to operate/ sustain efficiently the equipment/process

Job Details

• Work within Essity safety standards with a responsibility for others too Regarding process skills/tasks: Operates process & equipment efficiently. Able to consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control. Regarding Mechanical skills/tasks: Understands the Operation and equipment, what it does/how it works & can carry out CIL tasks and perform simple maintenance tasks. Lead small change-overs Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain an adequate communication with previous and next shift as wellwith other persons involved in running the machine Maintain an optimal housekeeping situation. Secure the quality level of the products by regular checking against the product specification rejecting and blocking if necessary. Complete all required documentation and data files during production.

The ideal candidate should/could live in Manchester, CT

2nd & 3rd Shifts Available:

2nd: 3pm - 11pm

3rd: 11pm - 7am

What You Will Do

• Functions performed in the foam room include, but are not limited to: dissolving, pouring, curing, neutralization, freezing, pulling, slicing and washing. Employees will be trained for specific functions for which they will be qualified.
• All product manufactured in the foam room are manufactured within current Good Manufacturing Practices and/or relevant ISO/CE standards.
• The Foam Room Operator will inspect products at all stages of the manufacturing process.
• Disposal of wastewater per the methods prescribed by the Company's permit with the DEP

Ensure that all relevant quality paperwork is completed including work orders and treatment logs. In addition, all product must be properly identified and segregated at all times.

Who You Are

• Demonstrate ability to read and do basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division).
• Demonstrate ability to read procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to understand and respond to verbal instructions and directions.
• A reasonable level of manual dexterity.
• Ability to lift/move up to approximately 60 lbs.
