    Base Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 hourly, DOE

    Position Overview:

    The Chemical Operator Technician will be responsible for supporting the daily processing and parts cleaning of customer parts and assemblies. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of these components. Your key tasks will include inspecting incoming parts, following work instructions, occasional disassembly and reassembly of parts as required, and performing cleaning and refurbishment using chemical and mechanical processes. In addition, you will work closely with higher-level technicians, taking direction from them and assisting with various day-to-day tasks. It is essential that you adhere to all safety protocols and procedural requirements to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.     Duties and Responsibilities

    The individual in this position is expected to engage in the following work-related activities:

    • Adhere to all company EH&S, QMS, HR, and facility/site protocols and procedural requirements
    • Wear and use all required personal protective equipment, company uniform, and/or cleanroom attire as necessary
    • Read, understand, and follow work orders and procedures, ensuring that each step is documented upon completion
    • Process parts using a variety of techniques, such as mechanical, chemical, and CO2 cleaning, as well as intermediate chemical/WET clean applications
    • Utilize and assist in maintaining equipment, including chemical tanks chemical processing fixtures, chemical plumbing, sanders, grinders, and wet wheels
    • Complete work orders, collect and document data, perform in-process and final quality inspections, and conduct periodic tool maintenance as directed
    • Identify and report any non-confirming (NC) part defects
    • Recognize and document critical manufacturing, cleaning, or processing data
    • Perform essential quality control inspections using specialized equipment, such as magnifiers, LED lights, calipers, etc.
    • Document work using existing databases and provided work orders
    • Flexible to complete other duties as assigned by management

    • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures related to handling and storing hazardous chemicals
    • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, follow standard operating procedures
    • Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for maintaining general housekeeping of the work areas and facility
    • Maintain a dependable and punctual attendance record
    • Ability to comprehend and execute work orders and procedures accurately
    • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving issues related to chemical processes and equipment, such as chemical tanks, processing fixtures, and various tools
    • Experience with quality control inspections using specialized equipment
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards
    • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment, including proper waste disposal practices

    Job Qualifications

    The following qualifications are required to perform the essential functions of this position:

    • Must be a US Citizen or legally permitted to work in the United States
    • Strong reading, writing, and communications skills
    • Must have High School Diploma (or equivalent GED certificate) strongly preferred
    • Forklift certification preferred (the company will provide training if forklift certification is required)
    • Proficient in computer software applications relevant to data entry and record-keeping
    • Availability to work extended hours when required
    • Must have mechanical understanding and awareness
    • Possess basic chemical understanding

    Physical Requirements

    The following qualifications are required to perform the essential functions of this position:

    • Ability to work while standing for up to 8 hours at a workstation
    • Occasionally sit while working at a workstation
    • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Ability to tolerate hot and cold temperature working environments while wearing PPE when required
    • Ability to wear cleanroom garments for an unspecified amount of time per job requirements
