Chemical Technician jobs in Bakersfield, CA
Chemical Technician determines the physical and chemical properties of compounds and materials using quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis. Performs a variety of chemical tests using instrumental methods and standard test equipment. Being a Chemical Technician prepares materials for laboratory examination and conducts quality, safety, and compliance assessments. Follows established SOPs. Additionally, Chemical Technician sets up and maintains lab equipment. Records and tabulates data and documents observations and results. Requires an associate degree in chemistry, science or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Chemical Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Chemical Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Chemical Operator, Mojave, CA

Primary Responsibilities
Functions include setting up, mixing and / or delivering production chemicals used in a manufacturing or process area where accuracy of chemical composition is important (e.
g., wafer, ink toner, media) in process operation.
- Works from written and verbal instructions. Removes and disposes of waste chemicals, solvents and acids.
- Performs maintenance of production furnaces and cleans glass tubes and jungles. May profile furnaces and clean up chemical spills.
Qualifications
- Ability to Lift / Carry up to 100 lbs or more.
- Ability to Push / Pull 51 lbs or more.
