RESPONSIBILITIES:

· The Chemist must adhere to company standards and work independently completing product development projects from inception to completion (Published formula)

· Monitor quality and conformity of formulas.

· Must handle multiple projects simultaneously.

· Must investigate and research issues, should there be any.

· The Chemist must develop formulas; perform product stability on all formulas with cosmetic/ skincare knowledge of shade matching (such as foundations, lipsticks, powder etc.).

· Must meet launch deadlines, with support from supervisor as needed.

· Identify raw materials and technologies suitable for product development.

· The Chemist must provide technical support groups including marketing, product development, analytical testing facilities, process development and manufacturing.

· Manage and train Lab Technicians

QUALIFICATIONS:

● The Chemist must hold a bachelor’s in chemistry, Biology or a related field of science.

● Must have a minimum of 3 years of work experience in Cosmetic development/ manufacturing background.

● Must have training and coaching experience.

● The Chemist must have knowledge of product innovation and development processes.

● Excellent communication skills

● Must have knowledge of IT and R&I laboratory systems.
