Fenner Precision Polymers has an exciting internship opportunity with the Fenner New Product Chemical Engineering Team at Manheim/Lititz, PA. The successful candidate will be responsible for product/process/testing needs for the textile product category.

The position reports to the New Product Development Manager.   

What will you do?  

As part of the New Product Development Team, you will …….

 S/he will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to:

• Conduct sample preparation and lab testing on belting and formulations

• Regular: COF, Tensile, NCO, FTIR, DSC, DHR
• Extended: flammability, MDR, Compression set, Tensile tear, Dough mixing

• Support the definition and writing of work instructions for new lab equipment
• Conduct predictive testing – work with lab equipment to correlate results
• Contribute to the technical documentation:
• Via LIMS – trained to input materials and test
