AUECC-Reno, Inc. is looking for a Chemist to join our growing team. The Chemist will conduct chemical and physical laboratory tests of liquid materials, and analyze data for a variety of purposes. This involves experimental, theoretical, or practical application of chemistry and related sciences.

Responsibilities:

• Sets up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for QC tests, research, or process control.
• Tests and analyzes products, materials and substances to determine strength, stability, purity, chemical content, and other characteristics.
• Tests and analyzes such as organic solvents, acids, inorganic acids and bases, and mixed solvents.
• Routine wet chemistry analysis such as GCMS, IC, Auto-titrators, and SEMI and ACS method requirements for electronic grade chemicals.
• Routine analysis of sub-ppt level trace metals using Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission and Mass Spectroscopy.
• Documents results of tests and analyses. May prepare chemical solutions for use in processing materials, following standardized formulas or experimental procedures.
• Records test data and observations as a permanent record (i.e., in laboratory notebooks or data storage system such as LIMS).
• Make calculations according to detailed standard operating procedures/instructions.
• Compiles and organizes raw and refined data for clear communication and interpretation.
• Responsible for performing routine maintenance on equipment.
• Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and practices in compliance with established responsible care procedures. Includes mandatory participation in daily, weekly, biweekly or monthly safety meetings.
• Maintain higher housekeeping standard and clean room protocol.
• Must possess good interpersonal skills, including the ability to function effectively in a team environment.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Must possess strong mathematical skills, good grammar and spelling.
