The Position
BeaconPoint currently has an opening for an experienced Chemist to join us on our important mission to deliver the most accurate and comprehensive nutrition data ever created by leveraging cutting-edge test methods to perform a variety of analyses in the daily operation and maintenance of a state-of-the-art food analysis laboratory.
These functions may include sample preparation, method development, optimization, validation and analysis on instruments such as UHPLC, LC-MS, and others. As your key job function, you will be developing SOP’s, testing samples using established SOP’s, and supporting development of new methods for testing food and beverage / supplement samples for various nutritional analyses such as vitamins, amino acids, phytonutrients, etc.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for independently performing sample preparation, testing and recording laboratory data according to the company’s policies and procedures. You will be expected to generate accurate test results in a timeframe consistent with client expectations. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
