Job Summary: The Regional Academic Officer MSN will provide oversight and support to campus program directors on a regional level. The role requires a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as a registered nurse and 3 years in nursing administration/leadership/supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Provide academic leadership and support to campus program directors to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and best practices in nursing education
- Collaborate with campus program directors to develop and implement effective strategies for student recruitment, retention, and success
- Serve as a liaison between campus program directors and the CAO to ensure alignment with institutional goals and priorities
- Conduct regular site visits to campuses within the region to assess program quality, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance and support as needed
-Provide leadership on-site to multiple campuses through the territory
- Provide professional development opportunities and resources for campus program directors and faculty to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness
- Collaborate with institutional leadership to develop and implement policies and procedures that support the mission and vision of the institution
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in nursing, Doctorate in Nursing DNP highly preferred
- Active and unencumbered registered nurse license
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience as a registered nurse
- Minimum of 3 years in nursing leadership
- Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of nursing education accreditation standards and requirements
