Job Description:
Reporting to the President of the University, the Vice President of Development and Chief Development Officer provides collaborative leadership and strategic direction for an integrated and comprehensive university-wide advancement program. This role serves to grow and strengthen philanthropic support, alumni and community relationships and the university reputation as the institution's Chief Development Officer. The position has executive responsibility over planning, implementation and administration of a comprehensive fundraising program that aligns with university values and priorities to ensure a strong base of financial support for all missions – academic, research and clinical.
The Chief Development Officer will work collaboratively with representatives from the academic, research and clinical mission areas, including the President’s office, to integrate and advance the fundraising priorities and strategic initiatives of the university. This role will foster a strong team orientation, encouraging collaborative and professional relationships among the various functions and throughout the university.
