Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing an organization's overall financial policies. Provides strategic direction of all financial functions including accounting, budget, credit, insurance, tax, and treasury. Being a Chief Financial Officer ensures that proper financial controls are in place and that financial transactions support the overall business strategy while conforming with applicable laws and regulations. Requires an advanced degree. Additionally, Chief Financial Officer may require the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential. Typically reports to chief executive officer (CEO) or chief operating officer (COO). Responsible for the development of functional or business unit strategy for the entire organization.     Astria Health is seeking a Labor & Employee Relations Specialist to join our team!

    This role will be pivotal in ensuring that workplace concerns are investigated and addressed promptly and fairly, in compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of Employee and Labor Relations. You will provide counsel regarding people-related policies and procedures to help problem-solve and explore alternatives for conflict resolution and organizational changes. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will support the financial and functional decision-making processes in contributing financial expertise in the planning of new services that generate additional sources of profitable revenue

    As an Assistant Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for assisting the CFO to help generate profitable revenue. Your key responsibilities will include:

      • Directs Revenue Cycle, Admitting, Business Office, Medical Records and Utilization Review.
      • Oversees the charge master maintenance.
      • Analyze and explore means of reducing hospital operating costs and increasing revenues based on market trends, financial reports and operating procedures.
      • Works with hospital leadership in the development of short and long range planning objectives.
      • Develops and implements revenue enhancement programs.
      • Prepares weekly projections, and manages financial systems and processes therein.
      • Collaborate effectively across organizational boundaries.
      • Adheres to the core values and standards of the organization. 

    This is what you bring to the role.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Five or more years of direct work experience in healthcare.
    • Two or more years of direct experience in revenue cycle departments.
    • Oral and written fluency in the English language.


    Summary

    Pay and Benefit Expectations

    We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental, and retirement benefits, and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive compensation range for candidates hired into each position. The starting pay for this position is in the mid-range of the pay scale $125 to $150 yearly. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. This position is not associated with a union contract.
