Chief Flight Inspector jobs in Cedar Rapids, IA

Duties Include:

• Load and unload aircraft of cargo weighing up to 70 lbs. in and out of aircraft within confined cargo areas, push, pull, and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs. on rollers with/to aircraft

• Operate ground service equipment

• Follow all WFS and Airline safety regulations as well as company policies

• Ability to work in a high-noise level environment

• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous materials identification labels, aircraft loading manifest and log flight information

• Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age, and possess a high school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Possess a valid driver’s license

• Must be authorized to work in the united states

• Ability to lift 70lbs without assistance

• Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance which includes an employment, criminal record and residence background check

• Demonstrate strong communication skills to interact professionally with team members

• Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises

• Previous aviation ground handling experience

Schedule:

• Split shift ($1 premium applied to base pay when both shifts are worked in one day)

• Monday AM 0330-0630

• Tuesday-Friday AM 0630-0930
• Weekends off

Salary:

• $14/hour
