Oversees professional and support staff involved in cataloging, indexing, issuing books/materials, and keeping records of items on loan. Being a Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) selects books and publications for purchase and subscribes to pertinent periodicals as allowed for by the given budget. Responds to more complex requests from faculty, medical staff, and students. Additionally, Chief Medical Librarian (MLS) possess broad and current knowledge of medical developments and scientific literature. Requires a master's degree in library science. Grand River Medical Group is seeking a dependable Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT). You will be performing technical laboratory functions as well as assisting with drawing patients. Duties will also include verifying patient information, patient lab orders, and specimen processing.
The ideal candidate would possess a robust lab knowledge and the ability to work efficiently with little supervision. You will need strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. You will be a team player and work closely with the receptionists, phlebotomists, clinicians, and all other members of the care team.
This is a full-time position, 36-40 hours per week. This position is typically 5 days per week, with no evening or weekend requirements.
