Chief Nurse Anesthetist manages and schedules Nurse Anesthetists who plan, arrange and secure necessary anesthesia equipment. Aids Anesthesiologist in organizing courses of instruction for students, and partakes in resulting programs and demonstrations. Being a Chief Nurse Anesthetist prepares reports and compiles data dealing with specific anesthesia, drugs and techniques, and patients' reactions to them. Requires a master's degree. Additionally, Chief Nurse Anesthetist requires Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Chief Nurse Anesthetist typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Infusion Nurse (Registered Nurse) Per Diem-Independent Contractor

  • We are looking for experienced and reliable Independent Contractor Infusion Nurses (Registered Nurses) to provide patients with infusion therapy in their homes. As an independent contractor, you will be responsible for performing health assessments, starting IVs, monitoring patients during infusions, and providing patient education. You will also act as a liaison between the infusion company and patients/families, communicating specific patient needs or findings to promote continuity of care. The ideal candidate should be flexible and adaptable and must be available to work on some weekend days.

    Responsibilities:

    • Administer IVIG therapy to patients in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
    • Assess patients' health status and response to IVIG therapy, and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
    • Monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications during IVIG therapy, and provide appropriate interventions.
    • Provide patient education on IVIG therapy, including medication administration, side effects, and self-care techniques.
    • Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and adhere to infection control and safety protocols.
    • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities to enhance clinical competence.

    Requirements:

    • Valid nursing license in California
    • Minimum one year of experience in infusion therapy, with a strong emphasis on IVIG administration.
    • Knowledge of IVIG therapy, including indications, contraindications, dosage calculations, and infusion techniques.
    • Ability to assess, monitor, and manage patients receiving IVIG therapy, including recognition and management of adverse reactions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
    • Proficient in using electronic health records and other clinical documentation systems.
    • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Reliable transportation and flexibility to travel to various patient locations as needed.
    • Professional liability insurance coverage.
    • Current CPR/BLS certification.
