    BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO), Not for Profit Hospital Corporation (NFPHC), United Medical Center (UMC).  The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring all patient billing, posting, and collection activities and ensuring maximum coordination of activities and flow of information within Patient Accounts.  Duties include, but are not limited to:  managing and overseeing employees to comply with registration process for Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Room services; establishing department specific measurable and operational performance goals; evaluating departmental performance; establishing and improving departmental quality metrics; establishing and managing department operational and capital budgets; forecasting budgetary needs; assisting with staffing schedules; and providing registration training as needed. Performs other related duties as assigned.Five (5) years of progressive experience in healthcare patient access, monitoring patient billing, and collection activities.  At least one (1) year of supervisory experience to include planning and overseeing the work of lower-level staff; previous experience working in a healthcare setting; and knowledge of medical terminology and third-party payer insurance verification processes.Experience that provides the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for this position.

    SALARY REDUCTION OF REEMPLOYED ANNUITANTS:
