The EMS Chief will work under the supervision of the Public Safety Director as well as the Board of County Commissioners. Scheduled office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with availability for emergency incidents.
Job duties include responding to Ambulance, Fire, and Emergency Management incidents. Applicants must hold and maintain a current EMS license. They will be responsible to maintain Agency EMS Operations and Standards in compliance with Idaho Code and manage EMS operations, scheduling, and staff. Office operation and management tasks including developing and providing training for new staff and developing and implementing Plans, Policies, and Procedures. The position will also assist with billing activities and provide grant acquisition and management.
