Chief Pilot (Non-Jet Fleet) pilots aircraft following standard operating procedures to ensure that flights operate according to all regulations, safety, and company policies. Follows required procedures to perform pre-flight checks and inspections. Being a Chief Pilot (Non-Jet Fleet) determines flight routes, speed, take-off, and landing times that will fulfill scheduling requirements. Completes required documentation and performs post-flight procedures as required. Additionally, Chief Pilot (Non-Jet Fleet) may require a bachelor's degree. Requires Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate. Requires FAA Commercial Pilot's License. Typically reports to chief pilot. The Chief Pilot (Non-Jet Fleet) works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. The Manager, Fleet Maintenance provides direct support to Fleet Maintenance Vice Presidents by overseeing vendor maintenance at off-site facilities. The Manager, Fleet Maintenance functions as a point of contact for other departments pertaining to aircraft maintenance on FAA Part 91 and Part 135 certificated aircraft. The Manager, Fleet Maintenance is responsible for tracking and communicating aircraft maintenance event progress to Fleet Maintenance Directors, Fleet Planners and Fleet Maintenance Coordinators. The Manager, Fleet Maintenance provides Flight Crews and Fleet Coordinators guidance on aircraft repair solutions and oversees communication with internal contacts and maintenance vendors. The Manager, Fleet Maintenance is the main source of reporting and scheduling data analysis, budget forecasting and aircraft analysis. The Manager, Fleet Maintenance is responsible for compliance with the company Safety Management System (SMS) program and reporting through the appropriate process all safety, security or quality recommendations or non-compliance observations.
