Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the daily operations of a child care center in accordance with state licensing requirements and regulations. Administers recruiting and staffing processes. Being a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) provides training and professional development for staff. Oversees enrollment activities, communications, and events that foster positive relations with families and the community. Additionally, Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) ensures that the activities and surroundings meet the needs of children and provide safety and security. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent. Depending on the location, may require a state specific director certification or a more general certification such as the Child Development Associate (CDA). Typically requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Typically reports to senior management. The Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • POSITION SUMMARY:

     

    The Registered Nurse in the Pre-Op/PACU Unit provides individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in the ambulatory surgery center in accordance with physicians’ orders, recognized nursing standards, legal aspects of current nurse practice within the state and Florida Health Care Plans policies and procedures. The nurse functions cooperatively with physicians and staff exhibiting teamwork characteristics. They demonstrate initiative, insight and critical thinking skills in the care of the patients. Pre-PACU nurses use the nursing process to identify patient needs for continuous assessment. The RN will document and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing actions and ensure a safe environment of care for the patient.

     

     

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:

     

    Education, skills and experience:

     

    • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.

    • Maintain a valid Florida State Board of Nursing RN license required.

    • Two years’ experience in a PACU Unit  ICU or ER Preferred.

    • ASPAN certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

    • Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association of the American Red Cross or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

    • Clear English communication skills, written, and oral.

    • Veni-Puncture/IV therapy required.

    • Strong customer service skills.

    • Computer experience to include EHR experience strongly preferred.

    • Knowledge of CPT/ICD 10 coding preferred.

    • Ability to remain professional when working in stressful situations.
