Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) directs the daily operations of a child care center in accordance with state licensing requirements and regulations. Administers recruiting and staffing processes. Being a Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) provides training and professional development for staff. Oversees enrollment activities, communications, and events that foster positive relations with families and the community. Additionally, Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) ensures that the activities and surroundings meet the needs of children and provide safety and security. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or equivalent. Depending on the location, may require a state specific director certification or a more general certification such as the Child Development Associate (CDA). Typically requires Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification. Typically reports to senior management. The Child Care Center Director (Hosp. Op.) typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.   • Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child Care Director to oversee the operations of our child care facility. The Child Care Director will be responsible for managing the daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations. Responsibilities: - Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children - Supervise and support child care staff, providing guidance and training as needed - Collaborate with parents/guardians to address any concerns or issues related to their child's care - Manage enrollment and admissions processes, including conducting tours for prospective families - Maintain accurate records and documentation, including attendance, incident reports, and licensing requirements - Plan and coordinate educational programs and activities that promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children - Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety standards, and accreditation requirements - Oversee budgeting and financial management for the child care center - Foster positive relationships with community partners, such as schools, local agencies, and parent organizations Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Education Administration or a related field (required) - Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (required) - Experience in higher education teaching or administration is a plus - Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with children, parents/guardians, staff, and community members - Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education - Familiarity with licensing regulations and accreditation standards for child care centers We offer competitive compensation packages including benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, professional development opportunities, etc. If you are passionate about providing high-quality care for children and have the qualifications required for this position, we encourage you to apply.
