We are a growing dance studio located in Abingdon, MD. Our studio is dedicated to providing exceptional dance education and fostering a love for dance among our students. Position: Dance Teacher

Styles: Acro,Ballet, Modern (Horton or Dunham), Jazz, Hip Hop, Stretch and Conditioning

Location: Abingdon, MD 21009

Responsibilities: As a dance teacher at Dimensions Dance Center, you will be responsible for teaching your respective classes based on the schedule set. Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring the success and growth of the studio. We measure success in this role by

This role will include but is not limited to:

• submitting lesson plans for your classes monthly
• being present for monthly staff meetings and one on one meetings with Director
• being present for recital, picture day,
• being reliable in communication with absent days, finding substitute
• Keeping track of dancer’s names and skills
• Submitting progress reports for dancers

Requirements: To excel in this role, we are seeking individuals who would align with our studio’s vision and possess the following qualities

• Passion for dance and teaching
• Genuine interest in growing and developing student’s love of the art form
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents and fellow staff members
• Degree or degree seeking

Pay: Varies based on experience ( degree or degree seeking preferred)

Hiring Process

Application: Complete submission with updated resume

Initial Interview: Selected candidates will be invited for an initial interview via Zoom to discuss qualifications, alignment with studio values and goals

Skill Assessment Depending on the role, there may be a skill assessment or demonstration required via a trial class with our students

Final Interview: A final interview will be conducted with our key team members to further evaluate the fit and potential contributions to the studio.

Job Offer: A job offer will be extended to the successful candidate, followed by a formal contract upon acceptance.
