May also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. Additionally, Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Civil Engineer work is closely managed. Clients include commercial businesses, private homeowners, municipalities and government agencies and municipalities, land-use attorneys, school boards and town agencies. The diversity of disciplines within the firm provides clients with a comprehensive approach to each project, from concept to completion.
Professional Engineer (P.E) with a minimum of 10 years of experience. Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD/Hydoflow, Micro Station. Candidate should have a high level of understanding of Land development, including planning and analysis of engineering systems needed for the use of land including streets, highways, sewage, water facility, storm drainage, grading, land use and utilities. Strong skills and experience in the design of site work, infrastructure, storm drainage design and treatment, roadway design, erosion control and onsite sewage disposal systems. The candidate is expected to engage with clients, manage engineering staff, understand the application and permitting process, possess good writing skills and capable of preparing construction specifications.
