Civil Engineer designs and supervises construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, or roads. Reviews designs, tests and assesses materials, and performs necessary data collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Being a Civil Engineer responsibilities also include estimating costs, estimating personnel and material needs, preparing proposals, and establishing completion dates. May also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. Additionally, Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Civil Engineer work is closely managed. 3 Key Consulting is hiring an Engineer for a consulting engagement with our direct client, a leading global bio-pharmaceutical company.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will apply process engineering knowledge to support technology transfer and ongoing cGMP production of commercial protein biologics processes.
Scope of work could include:- Must have strong knowledge and understanding of cell culture operations including large mammalian cell culture and perfusion bioreactor operations
- Applies expertise in process performance monitoring, floor support, troubleshooting of unit operations by integrating trends, data and information
- Compile and analyze process data using tools such as excel, Minitab, JMP
- Verify data in technical reports, spreadsheets, and regulatory filings
- Author process validation protocols, technical assessments, and product impact assessments
- Utilize strong written and verbal communication skills in technical writing and presentations
- Interface with other functions such as Process Development, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, Supply Chain and Regulatory
Basic Qualifications: - Master's Degree OR
- Bachelor's Degree & 2 years of Process Development or Operations experience OR
- Associate’s Degree & 6 years of Process Development or Operations experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 8 years of Process Development or Operations experience
- Experience related to upstream (cell culture) process development, scale-up and ongoing manufacturing of biologics (cGMP).
- Possess basic understanding of regulatory and cGMP requirements
- Able to compile and analyze process data using tools such as excel, Minitab, JMP
The person in this role will work with the manufacturing process and have the opportunity to present data and troubleshoot. You will also gain experience working for a biologics company.
