Civil Engineer designs and supervises construction projects such as airports, bridges, channels, dams, railroads, or roads. Reviews designs, tests and assesses materials, and performs necessary data collection and calculations in areas such as traffic forecasting, soil capacity, groundwater analysis, and structure design. Being a Civil Engineer responsibilities also include estimating costs, estimating personnel and material needs, preparing proposals, and establishing completion dates. May also assist in inspecting aging infrastructure or overseeing improvement projects. Additionally, Civil Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering. May require a Professional Engineer License (PE). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Civil Engineer work is closely managed.     Job Description

    HMT Dunham Engineering seeks a skilled and motivated Civil engineer for our College Station, TX office. This person will work with a team of dedicated water and wastewater professionals on planning and design of local and regional projects, focusing on municipal water storage and wastewater treatment and water quality.

    Primary Responsibilities Include

    • Engineering/task management for the planning, design, or construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects
    • Technical coordination with other members of the engineering/construction team
    • Design of storage, and/or unit processes for water and wastewater treatment facilities
    • Development of regulatory permit applications for water and wastewater infrastructure projects
    • Plan, schedule, conduct and/or coordinate engineering work involving conventional engineering practices as well as a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements.
    • Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria

    We Are Looking For Candidates With The Following Characteristics

    • B.S. in Civil, Environmental or related engineering discipline
    • EIT capable; Professional Engineering license preferred or ability to obtain
    • 0-5 years experience in water/wastewater infrastructure engineering
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD
    • The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, technical writing abilities, strong organizational skills, and strong technical aptitude.
    • Must be willing to travel periodically to various project sites
