Claims Analyst analyzes and reviews insurance claims for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility. Reviews claims for eligibility to be reimbursed. Being a Claims Analyst maintains updated records and prepares required documentation. Assists in controlling the cost of processing claims. Additionally, Claims Analyst contacts policyholders about claims and may provide information regarding the amount of benefits. May require a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Claims Analyst gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Position Purpose:
We are seeking a Medical Claims Trainer for Sunshine State Health Plan's Claims Operations. In this role, you will provide training on medical claims processes, develop effective training curriculum, and support the implementation of new products.
Please note that the Medical Claims Trainer will conduct both virtual and in-person training. Candidates must reside in Florida and be willing to travel a few times per month to meet business needs.
Responsibilities:
- Train, inspire, motivate, and coach employees to achieve desired quality and production results.
- Identify and develop appropriate training programs, including selecting or designing training materials.
- Communicate training progress to management in a clear and efficient manner.
- Prepare and update training materials and paperwork.
- Demonstrate excellent presentation and customer service skills.
- Conduct training needs analyses and recommend improvements.
- Perform audits to identify training needs and recommend policies and procedures.
Education/Experience:
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
- 2 years of training or claims processing experience.
- Knowledge of managed care information systems.
- Advanced claims processing experience preferred.
License/Certification:
- Valid driver's license.
