Job Description
The National Systems Group serves as the technical advisor to the Intelligence Community and its mission partners involved in the collection and distribution of national and tactical intelligence, including electronics programs, advanced technologies, ground and communications, imagery programs, and systems engineering and launch.
The Cape Engineering & Acquisition Directorate is looking for a Systems Director to support the Office of Space Launch (OSL) Cape customer organizations. In this opportunity, you will oversee launch processing infrastructure planning and acquisition, satellite processing and integration, launch support, sustaining engineering, project development and engineering support, and systems safety support. The position requires management skills and technical knowledge in launch vehicle/satellite integration and mission processing, as well as facility maintenance and project management.
This position requires 100% on site work in Cape Canaveral, FL.
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Support to the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) and Office of Space Launch (OSL) as primary customers
-
Provide leadership to an organization to execute launch base mission processing
-
Lead Launch Directorate at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station
-
Participate in budget planning and resource allocation. Implement policies, practices, and operating processes as prescribed by senior leadership. Report organization’s activities, progress, and achievements through written and oral reports to management, subordinates, and customers

Personnel management of Aerospace staff to include recruiting, training, and professional development
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or another technical discipline
-
Typically, 12 years of progressively more responsible experience in:
-
System acquisition
-
Systems engineering
-
Sustaining engineering
-
Project management/development/leadership
-
Launch integration & test of satellites and/or launch vehicles
-
Willing to travel approximately 5% both domestically and internationally
-
This position requires a current and active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
