We are seeking an Account Manager to grow with us for 1st shift essential employment in our Hickory, NC logistics office. This position will work closely with our business development team to optimize customer service by managing business relationships and workflow around prioritized activated accounts. Duties and Responsibilities
• Qualify opportunities associated with new and existing customer leads. • Analyze internal and external data to prioritize opportunities. • Ability to consistently solicit business from customer base on a regular schedule • Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or online chat, to provide support and information on products or services. • Collects and builds load orders in our transportation management software. • Communicate to clients regarding service expectations and standards of all parties. • Authors price quotes and communicates that information to the customer. • Ensures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers’ problems and concerns. • Maintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or comments. • Communicate with Operations and Business Development departments to identify immediate and future internal requirements. • Identify and adapt products and features to suit unique customer service needs. • Manage active loads in progress to provide proactive communication to business partners. • Develop regular outreach schedule for assigned accounts. • Track customer’s response for weekly report • Excellent communication skills including active listening. • Service-oriented and able to resolve customer grievances. • Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software. Clear and concise written and oral communication skills are required for this role.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to problem solve and communicate effectively and in a timely fashion, have at least one year of experience in the transportation and logistics industry, with a qualified knowledge of the pricing and quoting process for a customer base.
Job Type: Full Time Schedule: 40 Hour Work Week - 8AM-5PM Monday through Friday
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (Minimum, experience required), Associates Degree or higher (Preferred)
