Job Opening – Engineering Designer with Pioneer Cladding & Glazing Systems in Kokomo, IN

As the Engineering Designer with Pioneer, you will review architectural and structural drawings, interpret project scope documents and apply engineering, math and architectural principles to generate embed, plan and elevation drawings and shop drawing details using building information modelling (BIM) software. You will participate in formulating design strategy and assist in solving basic issues related to the design of building envelopes, fenestration, and other interior and exterior architectural elements including but not limited to unitized curtain walls, entrances, punched windows, coping and interior partitions. You will also mentor and coach lesser experienced employees and they support production control, shop and field personnel during the manufacturing and installation of designed assemblies and components.

The ideal candidate will be a knowledgeable team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. You must also have:

• Experience with Revit
• Well developed drafting and mechanical drawing skills and be able to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings, construction specifications and bid documents.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and stay flexible while meeting deadlines and goals
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/BIM OR an Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Design and Drafting (or related field) and 5 years of relevant fenestration drafting experience OR a minimum 7 years of relevant fenestration drafting experience.
• Familiarity with basic engineering and architectural principles related to different types of structures (e.g., poured concrete, steel, etc.).
• Ability to perform moderately complex calculations using basic math and trigonometry, possess excellent interpersonal skills and have successfully worked in a fast-paced environment.
• The best candidate must be a knowledgeable team player with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Inventor, BIM360, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Navisworks, preferred
• Curtainwall experience, preferred
