Client/Server Architect jobs in Chesapeake, VA

Client/Server Architect provides expert judgment and analysis for the design, development and implementation of client/server systems. Analyzes client/server requirements to ensure the system meets performance needs. Being a Client/Server Architect recommends technology purchases that will support and enhance the client/server system. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Client/Server Architect is familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. To be a Client/Server Architect typically requires 7+ years of related experience. A specialist on complex technical and business matters. Work is highly independent.     Responsibilities:

    Performing basic architectural tasks including calculations, specifications, reports and related data tables

    Preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required

    Under the direction of the Supervising Architect, may independently perform advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets

    Coordinate technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project

    Assist in the training and mentoring of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel

    May review and approve conceptual designs

    May assist in the development of new architectural methods and techniques

    Minimum Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in Architecture

    Four (4) years of relevant experience

    Licensed as a registered architect, highly preferable

    Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Six (6) years of relevant experience

    Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Photoshop and PowerPoint

    Experience with SketchUp Pro, Adobe Creative Suites, or other related graphic software
