We currently have an opening in ourOakland, CA or Los Angeles practices for anArchitect/Designerwith our Transportation & Infrastructure division. Key responsibilities will include workingwith, and coordinating, an architectural/engineering team in preparing documents for projects. The ideal candidate will interface with clients and partner firms and assist in leading teams of other design professionals to deliver design products requiring interface and collaboration with various disciplines, clients, and consultants. You will coordinatewith other disciplines and managethe delivery of design documents, as well as plan, schedule, coordinate, manage and oversee the work of lower-level architects who assist with particular projects.
Other responsibilities include: Prepares Architectural drawings and supervises their execution; mentors' younger staff; performs analysis of design and construction systems; completes planning studies; oversees preparation of design layouts and construction details. Oversees research used in writing specifications, including coordinating with manufacturers. Conducts site and construction inspections for information-gathering purposes, preparing interpretive reports. Executes code analysis, material selections, and technical solutions. Analyzes design and construction systems, design layouts and construction features, which require researching, compiling and recording information for assigned project work.
