  • Responsibilities:

    • Develop NC code for cutting-edge equipment utilizing Mastercam 2024 and Solidworks 2023, based on 3D models and engineering specifications.
    • Conduct detailed analyses of design models, sketches, and drawings to configure machining dimensions, tool selection, and optimal machine operation settings.
    • Calculate geometric dimensions and sequences necessary for part machining, documenting operations and cutter setups.
    • Update and refine programming methodologies with the latest technologies to enhance efficiency and meet project timelines.
    • Uphold stringent safety standards and 5S principles, ensuring operational excellence and workplace safety.
    • Engage in debugging and refining programs, utilizing simulation software to prevent equipment or part damage.
    • Contribute to the continuous improvement of programming and setup processes, training, and guiding less experienced team members towards departmental excellence.
    • Participate in domestic travel for training and development purposes, as required (5-10%).

    Requirements:

    • Proven proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, with adeptness in drafting NC program setup instructions. Solidworks 2023 expertise highly regarded.
    • Strong foundation in 3D modeling principles, with technical or vocational training being advantageous.
    • Minimum 3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience, with a preference for candidates possessing extensive NC machine operation knowledge.
    • Demonstrable skill in programming, setting up, and inspecting new aerospace parts across various materials, from aluminum to high-temperature alloys.
    • Computer literacy, particularly in PC operations, Microsoft software applications, and UG NX version 11.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a collaborative spirit.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 5-8 years of experience in CNC operations, including setup and production programming.
    • Comprehensive understanding of manual toolroom lathes, standard and multi-axis lathes, with additional experience in vertical and horizontal machining beneficial.
    • Familiarity with a broad range of CNC equipment, such as Nakamura, Okuma, Hardinge, Cubic, and Robo Drill.
    • Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing as per ASME Y14.5, along with proficiency in inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
    • Precision machining capabilities with tolerances up to /- .0001".
    • High School diploma or GED; must be a U.S. Citizen due to governmental contract requirements.
    • Lean manufacturing experience, strong work ethic, team-oriented mindset, and a willingness to train others.
    • A positive attitude and openness to a fun, energetic company culture.

    Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
