The Direct Support House / Operations Supervisor is an essential position that will require 24/7 availability. As an essential employee, required to report to work, work beyond normal hours, overtime and to provide coverage in the event that no staff are available for all shifts. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the Community Day Services Program at one location serving one adult male DDA Maryland client in the residential and community setting. Responsible for addressing frontline issues as they arise. Ensure daily operations of the resident are being followed appropriately. Provide hands-on assistance, ensuring continued adherence to quality expectations, safety standards and job responsibilities. Maintains program expectations by managing, modeling professional, positive, healthy and supportive behavior. Incumbent will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Incumbent will ensure the home is well maintained and organized. Incumbent will transport the client daily for community outings and/or appointments. Required to plan, assist, encourage, and motivate client gain more independence on goals listed in treatment plan, activities of daily living, personal hygiene, communication, socialization, and advocacy. Required to help client manage their own behavior and teach them appropriate alternative behaviors. Provide positive reinforcements to client. Plan and encourage participation of client and actively participate in daily recreational / community activities. Develop and implement daily schedules. Hands on work is a necessary requirement. Maintain accurate records and log shift notes daily. Incumbent must be reliable and available on a consistent basis to work their assigned shift.
