Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their beloved pets. Your exceptional customer service skills and knowledge of veterinary practices will contribute to providing a positive experience for our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinic.

Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly and professionally
- Collect client information, update records, and verify insurance coverage
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments
- Provide accurate information about veterinary services, procedures, and pricing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Assist with animal restraint as needed
- Utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry

Skills:
- Proficiency in aseptic technique for maintaining a clean and sterile environment
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both staff and animals
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology to accurately communicate medical information
- Experience in kennel or pet care settings is preferred
- Strong animal handling skills to provide comfort and support to pets during their visit
- Understanding of veterinary critical care procedures and emergency protocols
- Basic knowledge of dog training techniques for behavioral support
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures for sample collection and processing
- Knowledge of pet grooming practices is a plus
