Duties:
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor
- Schedule appointments and maintain an organized appointment calendar
- Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries promptly and professionally
- Collect client information, update records, and verify insurance coverage
- Assist with check-in and check-out procedures, including processing payments
- Provide accurate information about veterinary services, procedures, and pricing
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Coordinate with veterinary staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Assist with animal restraint as needed
- Utilize veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and staff
- Perform basic administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
Skills:
- Proficiency in aseptic technique for maintaining a clean and sterile environment
- Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both staff and animals
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology to accurately communicate medical information
- Experience in kennel or pet care settings is preferred
- Strong animal handling skills to provide comfort and support to pets during their visit
- Understanding of veterinary critical care procedures and emergency protocols
- Basic knowledge of dog training techniques for behavioral support
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures for sample collection and processing
- Knowledge of pet grooming practices is a plus
