Provides phone, clerical, and data entry support including insurance verification. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an office environment and involves contact with patients on the phone and in person. Work may be stressful at times, with constant interaction with others and many interruptions. Contact involves dealing with sick people.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work requires sitting for long periods of time, stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or papers weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires normal dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard and operate a phone, Fax machine, copier, computer and other office equipment as needed. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts. It is necessary to view and type on computer screens for a long period and to work in an environment which can be very stressful.
