Being a Clinical Administrative Coordinator ensures that hospital resources are being used in the most efficient manner. Assigns patients to appropriate health practitioners. Additionally, Clinical Administrative Coordinator may perform other administrative functions as necessary. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Clinical Administrative Coordinator typically requires 2 to 4 years of related experience. Under supervision, the Senior Clinical Administrative Coordinator assists in reviewing and directing daily work load. Performs duties in support of the Utilization Management department in accordance with company policies, state and federal laws applicable to the operating unit. Acts as a resource for complex issue resolution. Assists in developing and maintaining efficient and effective processes. Responsible for initiation of cases by data entry of clinical into the Facets system, via telephone, fax or computer. Electronically routes cases to the nurse for review and decision. After decision, is responsible for accurate case completion to include generation of approval letters while staying within compliance with time frames. Communicates with providers other departments as needed. Works independently with minimal supervision.
Hours: This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work an 8-hour shift during our normal business hours of (8:00am - 5:00pm PST). Training will be primarily onsite, Monday – Friday, while some training may be done remotely.
