    As a Data Engineer Manager, you'll play a crucial role in the architecture, development, and maintenance of our data pipeline and infrastructure. This position requires a blend of technical prowess, creativity, and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights that drive our strategic goals.

    The preferred candidate would be located onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA; remote candidates outside of preferred location will be considered.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Design, construct, install, test, and maintain highly scalable data management systems.

    • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices for security and privacy.

    • Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining, and production.

    • Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures.

    • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to identify future needs and opportunities for data-based solutions.

    • Optimize data flow and collection to improve data quality and efficiency.

    • Provide support and mentorship to junior data engineers and team members.

    • Utilize problem-solving skills and work independently on complex projects.

    • Communicate and collaborate across teams and with stakeholders.

    Qualifications/Experience Needed:

    • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

    • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

    • Must have experience in programming languages, such as Python, VBA, and SQL.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Preferred past experience in a data engineering role, with demonstrated expertise in designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines.

    • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools

    • Experience with cloud services (Azure) and data warehousing solutions.

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
