The Neonatal Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist CNS will be the clinical leader for the Neonatal ICU for the hospital. The Neonatal Critical Care CNS will have the advanced knowledge and skills required for this role including clinical expertise in a focus area, evidence-based practice, mentoring, consultation, collaboration, education, and transformational/change leadership that are essential to advance the practice of nursing and the professional development of nurses.
The Neonatal Critical Care Clinical Nurse Specialist CNS will have specialized knowledge and skills that will be used within three major areas of focus: patient direct care, nurses and nursing practice, and the organization and systems. The Neonatal Critical Care CNS will be accountable for collaborating with members of the health care team to design, implement, and measure safe, cost-effective, evidence-based care strategies.
