Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. The Laboratory Services Director will be responsible for oversight of all laboratory services within this acute care facility. Working closely with and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer COO, the Laboratory Director will provide clinical management of the laboratory, ensuring all employees follow quality and infection control policies, and guidelines in accordance with The Joint Commission, CLIA, OSHA, and CAP. The Laboratory Director will demonstrate strong leadership skills, motivating their team to deliver quick lab test turn-around times in order to ultimately ensure high quality patient care outcomes.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology, active Medical Technologist (MT) ASCP Certification, 3 years of progressive laboratory leadership experience within the acute care setting.
