A medium sized community hospital located in the San Francisco’s North Bay is seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to work as a Perioperative Nurse Educator.

The community hospital offers diverse surgical services offerings including total joint replacement, orthopedics, bariatrics, general surgery and more. This area in northern California is home to a more geriatric population and this hospital provides high quality care to this patient population. The Surgery Department is outfitted with six (6) Operating Suites.

The Operating Room and Perioperative Nurse Educator is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating educational programs for perioperative nursing staff, as well as providing clinical guidance and support to enhance patient care outcomes. Daily responsibilities for the Clinical Nurse Educator may include:

• Develop and deliver educational programs and presentations for perioperative nursing staff
• Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and make recommendations for improvement
• Mentor and provide clinical guidance to nursing staff, including the assessment of their clinical skills
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Stay current with best practices and advancements in perioperative nursing and incorporate into educational programs
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives and assist with the development of policies and procedures
