Under the direction of leadership, plans, develops, organizes, implements, controls, and evaluates the training and development needs of the hospital in areas of staff development, continuing education, management
development, and clinical and non-clinical skills. To ensure best practice and evidence-based decision-making for education planning and strategies. Collaborates with CNO, CQO, and members of hospital
leadership. Ensures alignment with network and network hospitals.

Minimal Acceptable Job Qualifications:

Registration/Certification/Licensure:

• Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Indiana.

Experience:

• Minimum of three years of teaching experience in nursing and/or adult education. Management/Leadership
  experience preferred.
• ICU experience preferred.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in education, nursing, adult education or healthcare-related field is required. Master’s
  degree is desirable.

Job Knowledge & Skills:
1) Demonstrates working knowledge of the English language, verbal and written.
2) Respects the confidentiality of information learned through employment with the hospital.
3) Demonstrates excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Demonstrates ability to teach,
coach, and role play to improve targeted audience’s skills and competencies.
4) Demonstrates and implements strategies to interact with adult population served and cultural diversity
of program participants.
5) Requires the ability to provide own transportation. Must be able to drive to other LHN facilities and
locations to perform job responsibilities as required.
