Clinical Educator is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for clinical health workers. Identifies professional development needs, facilitates training, and conducts in-service sessions. Being a Clinical Educator conducts research to stay current with health care regulations and best practices. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Clinical Educator requires certification as an instructor for both ACLS and BLS. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Clinical Educator occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Basic Life Support Instructor certification is required, and ACLS and PALS certification is preferred. Certification in a relevant clinical area and/or Nursing Professional Development within one year of hire is also desired. You must hold a current unrestricted New York State Nursing License and be an active participant in professional organizations such as the National Nursing Staff Development Organization and ANA.
