The Director of Facilities and Plant Management will direct all facilities maintenance, plant operations and facilities planning and construction at all hospital locations including the main hospital campus, ambulatory locations, and business offices. The Director of Plant and Facilities Operation will collaborate with stakeholders to determine scope of project requirements, schedule and budgetary estimates, and timeframe.
The Director of Facilities and Plant Management will manage all aspects of routine maintenance including management of the physical plant, electrical delivery systems, HVAC, plumbing, medical gas delivery systems, emergency generators, and physical plant of all owned and leased locations. Responsible for the general fire life safety of the hospital.
The Director of Facilities and Plant Management will provide knowledgeable and collaborative engagement with regulatory organizations including HCAI/OSHPD, City/County/State inspectors and Accreditation/Licensing consultants and inspectors. The Director of Plant and Facilities Operation should have 6-8 year’s experience as a Director of Engineering at a large medical facility with working knowledge of HVAC utilities and piped gas systems and advanced knowledge of NFPA, JCAHO, DNV, OSHA and EPA is required.
The Director of Plant and Facilities Management should have 4-year degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Construction Science, Electrical Engineering or the like required; or 10 - 15 years of work experience or a combination of education and work experience equaling 15 years or greater. Master's degree preferred. CEM (Certified Energy Manager) or CHFM (Certified Health Care Facility Management) certification preferred.
