JOB SUMMARY The Physician/Clinical Informaticist position will be responsible for supporting the providers during and after implementation, upgrades and onboarding by providing on site and remote support. The position provides ongoing support, education, communication and acts as a point of escalation for issues, requests and educational support. The position will engage with the diverse teams of providers, operational leaders, Information Technology staff and EPIC vendor support staff, at multiple levels of the organization to advance the needs and the mission of SFHS. Support of the providers at SFHS clinics and hospital across the ministry by defining and resolving problems within EPIC (or other related clinical applications) and/or workflow processes. This position will facilitate communication between the EPIC analyst and providers. There will be expectation to coordinate ongoing education of new features, functionality, new/revised workflows and updates on break/fix issues. Maintenance of accurate documentation, including a clear description of the problem, the steps utilized in problem solving, and a description of the final solution. Testing of new build, break/fix and new workflows in the appropriate EPIC environment. Support of new providers onboarding to ensure validation of EPIC EMP and SER profiles, support of preference list setup and provider onsite support for new providers, in collaboration with Training & Development, along with ongoing support for optimization of their workflows, order sets etc. Assist with technical and workflow dress rehearsal activities, as requested. This position shall remain proficient in the utilization of SFHS specific applications that are supported by the Informatics role (i.e. Physician Builder, ClinDoc, Ambulatory, and/or Orders).Participation in assigned committees and /or workgroups to serve as a resource for Informatics will be essential and required. Other duties will be assigned by the Director of Clinical Applications and/or CIO.
