    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The Clinical Education Specialist-Valley Regional enhances professional practice and the provision of quality patient care by providing evidence-based quality educational programs and activities that promote professional aptitude for nursing, inter-professional, and non-licensed clinical staff at the assigned facility.

    What you will do in this role:

    • Participates in the development, coordination, managing, facilitating, conducting, and evaluating of onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel
    • Conducts orientation in a manner that facilitates a positive learning environment. Incorporates organizational values/culture into the orientation process
    • Identifies learning needs of staff and assesses practice gaps, comparing competencies to actual practice. Plans educational content with learner engagement
    • Partners with the Clinical Education Market Director to review outcomes data to evaluate and refine aptitude management activities
    • Demonstrates an expertise of adult educational theory and the ability to apply evaluation methodologies, (i.e., Kirkpatrick) into courses and curriculum to refine clinical programs

    What qualifications you will need:


    • Master’s Degree in Nursing Required, Healthcare Administration, Education, or other clinical field Preferred
    • 3 years experience in nursing specialty in an acute care setting required, 3 years experience in clinical education preferred
    • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date).
    • American Heart Association BLS Certification is required
