  • This amazing Western Kansas hospital is looking for a Nursing Director of Obstetrics. Apply today, and join a nationally recognized health system in a very unique Nursing Leadership role.

This community hospital is excited to be on its Magnet Journey, and is looking for a Nurse Leader who will embody the values and virtues that come with that incredible step. The Obstetrics Nursing Director will join a hospital that has earned local and national recognition for outstanding patient outcomes, for its commitment to the community, and for its breadth of inpatient and outpatient services offered. Among these is a busy Emergency Department, mid-acuity Neonatal ICU, Birthing Services, Cardiovascular Services, and Orthopedics.

In this unique leadership role, the Nursing Director of Obstetrics will report to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), and manage operations in both the Women’s & Children’s Services department and in the Perioperative Services Department. Supported by a CNOR Surgical Services Manager, who leads a fantastic team in the OR and PACU, as well as an Obstetrics Certified Birthing Center Manager and NICU Supervisor, this Director will find a great team already in place.

This is a unique role, where the Nursing Director of Obstetrics will not only oversee a busy Women’s department, but also the Perioperative Department. The busy Birthing Center has 6 LDRP beds, as well as 2 additional private recovery rooms, and sees around 700-births a year. The Nursing Director will also lead clinical and administrative operations in an 8 Operating Room Perioperative Services Department. This department performs nearly 7,000 procedures annually between Inpatient and Outpatient, and provides a wide range of services including Cardiothoracic, Oncology, Breast, ENT, and General Surgical procedures.
