Reporting to the Senior Director of Cardiovascular Services, the Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU will join the critical care team and be supported by a team of Assistant Nurse Managers, Supervisor, Charge Nurses, specialized Staff RN, LPN, CNA, CMA, technicians, and other ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU may include managing the budget, department staffing (screening, interviewing, hiring, and scheduling), preparing accreditation and survey material, ensuring state and federal regulatory compliance, updating policy procedures, developing educational curriculum, and cross collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

The Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU will manage a very fast-paced critical care unit with a post-op open heart, IABP (balloon pump, CRRT, Therapeutic Hypothermia) population and a 1:1 staffing ratio. The ideal Nurse Manager Cardiac ICU is an effective leader in high-stress, fast paced environments, and up to date on technology, techniques and best practices involved with working in a CVICU unit. Requirements

• BSN Required. Master’s degree (or actively enrolled) preferred
• Clinical Background working in an inpatient Critical Care unit. CVICU preferred.
• Previous clinical leadership experience working as a Nurse Manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, Supervisor or Charge Nurse
