Clinical Programmer evaluates, develops, and maintains clinical database and analyzes clinical data. Codes, tests and documents databases. Being a Clinical Programmer performs data validation and develops algorithms for data management, typically using SAS programming language. May require a bachelor's degree. The Clinician provides psycho-social assessments, individual and family therapies. Will carry a case load, develop treatments plans, lead special focus process groups/educational groups, participate in unit activities, maintain regular contact with resident s referral sources and families. Provides timely and accurate documentation. Participates in referral development activities. Performs continuous quality improvement activities, such as chart audits and documentation review.
Maintains strict confidentiality and privacy of students' and residents' personally identifiable health information in accordance with HIPAA privacy rules and Facility policies. Meets mandatory staff development requirement per the standards of all regulatory and accrediting agencies.

Minimum Education
Master s degree required in counseling, psychology or related social services field.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of one (1) year in a behavioral health / therapy setting with the population served.
Required Skills, Licenses / Certifications
Licensed Practical Counselor, by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
Licensed Clinical Social Worker, by the Virginia Department of Health Professions
Trauma Certification, or within 90 days of hire
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Valid Driver's License in good standing
General Requirements
Must be at least 21 years of age per Commonwealth of Virginia Interdepartmental Regulation of Children s Residential Facilities.

Ability to effectively present information to groups.
Communicate in English effectively and document information accurately.
Communicate effectively with all disciplines involved in the care of the youth.
Ability to work well with others in a team setting and work well with a moderate level of direct supervision.
Possess basic knowledge of child and adolescent development, child care principles and practices, positive peer culture, and mental health principles.
Knowledge of basic psychiatric terminology. Ability to develop healthy relationships with children and adolescents and consistently apply rules, expectations, and behavioral interventions.
Proficient with Windows, Outlook, internet research, MS Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
