Clinical Research Manager manages the clinical monitoring process and the administration of clinical trials. Supervises CRAs in in-house and on-site monitoring, filing, and clinical trial administration. Being a Clinical Research Manager oversees adherence to SOPs, Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations. Helps with the development and implementation of clinical processes, procedures, and programs. Additionally, Clinical Research Manager may require a master's degree in nursing. May require ACRP or SOCRA Clinical Research Professional exam completion. Typically reports to a director. The Clinical Research Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Research Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. JOB SUMMARY: Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments and maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination and administration of investigative protocol. Must maintain a high degree of attention to detail and accurate records. Must provide good customer service in all forms of patient interaction. Must follow established protocols and procedures with exacting precision.

Education/Certification: High School Diploma or equivalent or higher. Current BLS Certification. Completion of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) training.
Experience: Work in a doctor’s office or other medical office. Must be delegated by Principal Investigator (PI).
Equipment/Technology: Experience with office equipment, medical equipment used to obtain vitals, computer systems to enter data and process information.
Language/Communication: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Bilingual is a plus. Must understand medical terminology.
Mathematical Skills: General math skills.
Mental Capabilities: Can regularly and consistently make sound judgments. Must be organized, attentive to details, critical thinker.
Interpersonal: Good communication skills, able and comfortable to collaborate with others to accomplish tasks.
