Clinical Research Manager manages the clinical monitoring process and the administration of clinical trials. Supervises CRAs in in-house and on-site monitoring, filing, and clinical trial administration. Being a Clinical Research Manager oversees adherence to SOPs, Good Clinical Practice and FDA regulations. Helps with the development and implementation of clinical processes, procedures, and programs. Additionally, Clinical Research Manager may require a master's degree in nursing. May require ACRP or SOCRA Clinical Research Professional exam completion. Typically reports to a director. The Clinical Research Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Clinical Research Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required. This hospital specifically has 240 patient beds, as well as a highly recognized Level III Trauma Center providing healthcare for the Four Corners region of New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, and Utah.
Reporting directly up to the Director of Cardiology Services, the Cardiology Unit Manager has a big set of responsibilities within the department. With multiple assistant RN's, a Supervisor, and several staff level RN's, the Manager has a lot of support. Some responsibilities may include;
- Take charge in overseeing care provided by all staff and ensuring that it is safe and up to hospital standards
- Meet with other department leaders regarding important hospital matters
- Keeping up to date with the best practices and be sure that they follow hospital guidelines
- Develop staff members through education and quality improvement initiatives
At least 5 years or prior nursing experience and an active nursing license in the sate of New Mexico is required for consideration at this time.
